AACCC Registration 2026: Counselling Process, Dates, Documents Required
A NEET score makes a candidate eligible for AYUSH admission, but it does not provide a college seat automatically. The seat is offered through counselling, where the candidate registers, pays the applicable fee, arranges colleges and courses in order of preference, receives an allotment and reports to the allotted institute.
For All India Quota AYUSH seats, this online process is conducted by the Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee, commonly known as AACCC. This page explains only the AACCC counselling procedure for undergraduate admission in 2026. For dates, cutoffs, documents and college details, use the separate links included below.
AYUSH NEET Counselling 2026 tentative schedule
The exact dates for AACCC Registration 2026 will be announced by AACCC. Based on the sequence followed in previous admission sessions, candidates may use the following timeline only for advance planning:

Important: These dates are tentative and are not an official AACCC schedule. The counselling authority may change the starting date, number of rounds, registration window or reporting period. What is AACCC counselling?
AACCC counselling is the central online seat-allotment process for eligible NEET UG candidates seeking admission to participating AYUSH institutions. At the undergraduate level, it covers BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS and B.Pharm (Ayurveda) seats offered by ITRA, subject to the seat matrix released for the session.
The committee conducts counselling for:
- 15% All India Quota seats in participating government and government aided AYUSH colleges.
- Seats in participating Central Universities and National Institutes.
- 100% seats in participating deemed universities.
The remaining state-quota seats are normally handled by the respective state or UT counselling authority. Therefore, AACCC counselling and state AYUSH counselling are separate applications.
AACCC is sometimes searched online as "ACCC counselling", "AACC counselling" or "AYUSH NEET counselling". The correct abbreviation is AACCC, which stands for Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee.
Who can enter the AACCC UG counselling process?
The first requirement is qualification in NEET UG 2026. The candidate must also satisfy the course-wise academic, age, category and institutional conditions stated in the 2026 AACCC bulletin and applicable regulations.
Being NEET-qualified permits a candidate to register; it does not guarantee allotment. Admission depends on the candidate's NEET merit, category where applicable, choices submitted, seat availability and eligibility verified by the allotted institute.
Candidates should also check subject-related conditions before selecting a course. BUMS and BSMS may carry language requirements under the applicable admission rules. A candidate claiming reservation must have the prescribed certificate in the correct Central Government format wherever the Central reservation policy applies.
AACCC counselling procedure 2026 from start to admission
1. Read the bulletin before opening the registration form
Begin with the official AACCC UG counselling page. Download the 2026 information bulletin, counselling scheme, schedule and seat matrix when they become available.
Check four points before registering:
- whether the desired course and institution appear in the current seat matrix;
- whether the seat belongs to the government, government-aided, CU/NI or deemed-university group;
- which registration fee and security deposit apply; and
- the exit, upgrade and security-money rules for every round.
The rules can change between sessions. A previous-year bulletin is useful for understanding the flow, but it should not be used to decide a 2026 deadline or payment.
2. Complete new registration on the official portal
When registration opens, use the candidate activity link on aaccc.gov.in. Enter the NEET UG 2026 details exactly as recorded with NTA. This generally includes the NEET roll number and other identifying information requested on the portal.
Create a strong password and keep it private. The registered mobile number and email address should remain accessible throughout counselling because login recovery and notices may depend on them.
Review spelling, date of birth, category and contact information before submission. In the previous official process, AACCC provided a one-time registration-unlocking facility for candidates who had not locked their choices. Candidates should not depend on that facility unless it is specifically announced for 2026.
3. Select the counselling category and pay the fee
The portal requires payment of a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit according to the counselling category selected by the candidate. The payable amount may differ for government or government-aided seats, Central Universities/National Institutes and deemed universities.
Payment is made online using an available method such as net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI. Save the transaction receipt and confirm that the portal shows a successful payment before proceeding.
Do not quote an old fee table as the final 2026 fee. Use the amount displayed in the 2026 portal and bulletin. Refundability of the security deposit is conditional; failure to join, an ineligible claim or an exit after the permitted stage may lead to forfeiture under the round rules.
4. Study the live seat matrix
Choice filling should begin only after checking the seat matrix for that round. It shows the available course, institution, quota and category-wise seats. A college that participated in an earlier year may not necessarily offer the same seats in 2026.
Candidates can use the AACCC participating institutes list for easier research, but the current round's official seat matrix remains the final reference.
Before adding a college, verify its recognition, location, annual tuition fee, hostel availability, service bond, stipend where relevant and any additional institutional charges. Deemed-university fees can be substantially different from government-college fees.
5. Fill choices in the candidate's real preference order
Choice filling is not a prediction exercise. The allotment system considers the choices from top to bottom and assigns the highest available option for which the candidate is eligible on merit.
Place the college-course combination genuinely preferred most at number one. Continue in descending order. A candidate does not lose the chance of a lower choice merely by placing an ambitious option above it.
A practical list may contain:
- Ambitious options based on previous closing ranks.
- Realistic options close to the candidate's rank range.
- Acceptable backup options.
Do not place a college on the list unless joining it is financially and practically possible. Previous-year closing ranks may guide ordering, but they cannot guarantee the 2026 result.
6. Recheck and lock choices before the deadline
After arranging the list, check the course, institution, quota and order once again. Lock the choices within the scheduled window and download or print the locked-choice record.
Under the previous official AACCC procedure, choices not manually locked by the candidate were automatically locked at server time when the deadline ended. Manual locking is still safer because it allows the candidate to retain a final record. The 2026 bulletin should be checked for the exact rule.
Choices generally cannot be edited after locking. A new round may require fresh choice submission; candidates should not assume that the previous list will automatically remain valid.
7. Understand how seat allotment is prepared
AACCC processes allotment using the candidate's NEET UG merit, applicable category, submitted preference order, eligibility and seats available in that round. The system does not allot a lower preference while a higher listed preference is available to the candidate on merit.
AACCC may first publish a provisional result. If the notice provides a window for an allotment-related query, the candidate must use the stated official channel within that period. After consideration of valid queries, AACCC publishes the final result.
An allotment becomes actionable only after the final result. The candidate should log in and download the provisional allotment letter generated through the portal.
8. Decide according to the rules of the allotted round
The consequences of allotment are not identical in every round. Depending on the scheme, a candidate may be allowed to join, seek an upgrade, resign within a permitted period or exit without joining. Later rounds normally carry stricter exit and forfeiture conditions.
Before taking any action, read the round-specific table in the 2026 counselling scheme. In particular, confirm:
- Whether joining is mandatory.
- Whether willingness for upgrade must be submitted.
- Whether resignation is allowed and until what time.
- Whether security money will be refunded or forfeited.
- Whether the candidate remains eligible for the next round.
